Services we offer to Chilton County residents
If you have a feral colony of cats in your neighborhood contact us about our TNR program. Our program director can trap the cats, get them spayed or neutered so the colony does not keep growing, and then release them back to the area. Their ears will be tipped so it's easy to tell which cats have and have not been fixed. If it's preferred that the cats not be returned to the area they might be candidates for our barn cat program.
Thanks to a starting donation by the City of Clanton, we are able to offer $20 spay/neuter certificates to the citizens of Chilton county. Come to the shelter with proof of residency (driver's license or a bill with your name and address) to purchase the certificate and then make your appointment with the Alabama Spay and Neuter Clinic in Irondale. Their Hip to Snip truck will provide transport once a month free of charge.
We provide this service in a way that responds to the tenderness of your grief and the respect you have for your pet's life. Your pet's ashes will be placed in a black urn for your pickup.
